Congress Hall Game Show

One of the most fun ways on our menu to bring your team together, the Congress Hall Game Show can be directly tailored to fit your company's unique needs. Whether reinforcing elements of your mission statement, training for orientation, poking a little fun at personnel, or simply driving home this quarter's goals and how to get there - with a buzzer in hand, the blandest of information turns into the power to beat your opponent! Complete with a live host and fun prizes, the value of this activity will last well past the end of your visit. (A minimum of two weeks planning is needed for a personalized version. Standard "fun trivia" versions are always available.)

CHAR: Congress Hall's Amazing Race!

The spirit of competition is alive and thriving in our race across the beautiful landscape of Congress Hall and Cape May! Complete with Detours (can you successfully volley that ball over the net to your teammate 6 times without letting it touch the ground? How fast can you fill that glass with water using only a spoon?) and Pit Stops (Chocolate chip cookie at Tommy's Folly Coffee Shop anyone?) your team will have the time of their corporate lives as they race to win our grand prize. This team-builder can be customized to your specific wishes--want to include a race to Cape May's Lighthouse by bicycle? Maybe you would prefer to hold the entire race on-property, which could include anything from building sand castles on the beach to learning how to mix a complicated drink at the bar! "Silly" prizes will be awarded to everyone who participates, with one grand prize for the winning team.

Congress Hall Pictionary

Any activity that reveals previously hidden skills has great potential for strengthening team appreciation. Amidst an atmosphere of laughter and fun, CH Pictionary challenges everyone to dig deep and find that creative spirit innate to all of us. Team members with good drawing skills may learn that those with less skill often find a strategic advantage-making them equally valuable to the team. "Silly" prizes round out the fun

Congress Hall Team Spy Mission

This activity is derived from a scavenger hunt model whereby each team--using only a digital camera and the creativity, skills and wits of individual team members--tries to achieve more objectives (funny photos used as proof that assignments were achieved) than any of the other teams. Teams are assigned missions by the mysterious Spy Liaison (Congress Hall's Activity Host) who also helps them find clues by solving puzzles. Spying on opposing teams can actually win your team extra points! If desired, personal trivia about individuals in your group can be part of the fun. Prizes are awarded and lots of laughter is guaranteed! (A minimum of two weeks planning time is needed for a personalized version. Standard versions are always available.)

Campfire, Cordials and S'mores!

The experience of sitting around a campfire seems to evoke powerful memories in all of us. Your team will long remember sharing time under the stars with a cordial in hand. This is the perfect activity for your group to de-stress and "let down their hair" a little after a day of intense meetings. S'mores-just the way you remember them-add the final and perfect touch. (Weather permitting)

Fondue Cooking Class and Dinner

Cooking seminars are all the rage, and you won't find a more educational or entertaining one than right here at Congress Hall. Our Chef divides your group into teams of 4 or 5 and gives a hands-on demonstration of how to make several recipes of Cheese Fondue. Authentic Swiss folk music plays in the background (yodel-ay-ee-hoo!) taking you temporarily to the original land of fondue and just the right wines are matched for imbibing as you work. Afterwards-everyone will feast on the different fondues, stirred with vegetables and luscious breads. Caution-don't lose your bread crouton as you stir or you may owe someone a kiss or bottle of wine! And be sure to leave room for the dessert fondues—Chocolate!

Sand Castle Challenge

Who doesn't love playing in the sand? Take advantage of our location, just steps from the beach, and give your group the challenge to work with their team to create the best sand castle possible. With a limited set of tools and a set amount of time, teams surprise themselves by how much fun it is to create these works of art together. For "fresh air" quotient and a keen sense of competition, this activity rates as one of the best!

Croquet/Bocce Ball/Volleyball

Sometimes the recipe for a good break consists of a little physical activity and a lot of fresh air. Tournament-style rounds can be set up for a sense of competition and teambuilding in each of these activities. An optional cocktail server can make sure that everyone has something to wet their whistle and "silly" prizes are awarded to the winners. (Weather permitting)
